Freeport junction 32 shopping centre  lies only 1.5 miles 5 mins from Rolandscroft! its a great activity centre form multi cultural dining places  to skee slopes  in House Multiplex cinimas! Great outdorr clothing centre and shopping outside moll! Great bargains to be had here and coffee houses  too! Its a great assett to the local Area and many thousands of people come to visit each year! We are also in the same Village as the famouse Featherstone Rovers Rugby team! 
Pontefract Race course has many open days during the year and is a famouse venue for great afternoons and days out  within 5 mins of pontefract Centre whichboasts  some nice inns pubs and eating places with two  historical wednesday and saturday markets! Pontefract Castle lies at the East side of the town  where Oliver cromwell held it to siege and created Bag hill where all his troops where stationed!
